Mangolani Inn

Our stay at Mangolanni was just perfect. The room was large, super clean and confortable. The house has everything you need during your stay in Paia (several areas to rest, a kitchen, washing machine etc) The communication with Dave was super easy and his team is nice and convenient. Highly recommend this place!

Easily walkable to downtown Paia (which gets busy, parking isnt fun, definitely a huge plus to be able to walk). Dave and Epes were great hosts and super accommodating. Epes was on site, and made a traditional Hawaiian lay ready at our arrival. Then he offered to make another for my wife's birthday. Great guy, gave some good travel tips as well. Beautiful property with a premium feel. Very nice outdoor eating area, plus an outdoor shower. Awesome spot, has to be one of the best places to stay anywhere on the island.

Mangolani Inn is a true hidden gem. The property feels incredibly private and peaceful, with beautifully maintained grounds and thoughtful amenities that make it easy to slow down and really enjoy the surroundings. It’s the kind of place where you feel tucked away, yet completely taken care of. What truly makes the experience special, though, is the host, Epes. He went above and beyond with local recommendations. From food to beaches to things we never would have found on our own, his suggestions made our stay unforgettable. One of the highlights was learning how to make a lei with him, such a meaningful, hands-on cultural experience that made us feel genuinely welcomed. If you’re looking for privacy, comfort, and an authentic, warm Hawaiian experience, Mangolani Inn delivers on all of it. We would absolutely stay here again.

Mangolani inn is a beautiful property. Each room looks exactly like the online photos. Dave, the owner, is just a phone call away and will give you endless suggestions to make sure your trip is enjoyable. Having a washer/dryer was so convenient! Loved that! Rooms are behind a secure gate which made us feel safe and cared for. The property is just a few minutes walk to the cool town of Pa’ia. Excellent stay!

We absolutely loved our stay at Magnolia Inn in Maui! The spacious and clean room offered stunning views, making our getaway even more special. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a fresh lei and some delicious limes and papaya from the yard, such a thoughtful touch! Epes was an incredible host, providing fantastic recommendations for dining and activities nearby. The location was perfect, within walking distance to beautiful beaches and restaurants. A highlight was making our first Hawaiian lei with Epes. He had time in his schedule to fit a little more time with us before our flight back home. it was a truly memorable experience! Everything about our stay was wonderful. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at the Mangolani Inn! The rooms were very clean and well-equipped with everything we needed, including toiletries, clean sheets, silverware, bowls, cooking utensils, and even a full-size fridge. The shared outdoor area was beautiful, clean, and definitely picture-worthy. They provide plenty of thoughtful extras like outdoor chairs, snorkels, beach towels, and an outdoor shower to rinse off after the beach. There are also two sets of washers and dryers, fun outdoor games, and a spotless hot tub that felt amazing after a long day of exploring. The host was incredibly kind and responsive, which made our stay even more enjoyable. If you’re planning on visiting Maui, this is a great location—especially if you’re doing the Road to Hana or catching the sunrise/sunset at Haleakalā. Being on this side of the island made it so convenient. Highly recommend!

I had such a blissful week at the Mangolani Inn. My room was beautiful and spacious, with amazing ocean views. The whole property is so clean and well kept, and I loved making my morning coffee in the outdoor kitchen. Epes was managing while I was there and instantly made me feel at home- he even taught me how to make a lei. Honestly, I can’t recommend this place enough.

The laid-back, welcoming atmosphere was perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring Road to Hana. A special thank you to Dave, the host, who was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. One of the kindest gestures was when he let us borrow blankets for the Haleakalā sunrise experience, which made a huge difference during the chilly morning hours. His hospitality truly went above and beyond. If you’re looking for a warm, comfortable place to stay on the north shore of Maui, with a host who genuinely cares about making your visit special, Mangolani Inn is a fantastic choice. We’re grateful for the warm welcome and highly recommend staying here!
